1.What are the three basic elements of a camera?
Optical element (the lens), chemical element (the film) and a mechanical element( the camera it self)
2.What is an SLR camera?
The camera with a single lens Reflex camera the scene being photographed is reflected onto the surface of the film by a mirror.
3.What is the purpose of a camera's aperture?
Aperture is referred to the lens diaphragm opening inside a photographic lens. The size of the diaphragm opening in a camera lens REGULATES amount of light passes through onto the film inside the camera the moment when the shutter curtain in camera opens during an exposure process.
4.What does shutter speed on a camera control?
It control the amount of light reaches a digital camera sensor.
5. To get the right exposure for a picture, what three things must be balanced?
choose the light meter mode. The light meter mode on our camera allows us to shoot in matrix, spot or average metering. You're going to flip between matrix and spot metering to light meter properly.
6. To take pictures outside on a very sunny day, would you use a high or low film speed? Why?
High, because on a sunny day with a 100 iso you should use N and a more open aperture
7. What are the four steps for developing black and white film?
1) light-tight place to put film on the reel--like a dark bag
2) A developer tank and reel Scissors
Thermometer (I use a digital kitchen thermometer)
3) Timer (I use the second hand on my wrist watch)
4) Several beakers to measure your chemicals (typically one per chemical, I use 3)
5) Clips to hang your film (I use magnetic paper clips from Office Depot)
6) Of course, your developing solutions. I use Ilford Perceptol, Ilfostop, Ilford Rapid Fixer, and Kodak Photoflo rinse aid.
8. What things are needed to make a black and white print?
drying cabinets, tongs, a stop bath, developers, print paper, fixer, developer trays, and washes to make a black and white print.
9. For a black and white print, the final image is actually what material?
The final image in black and white print is actually developed silver.
